Love the milkshakes!!!! Mint chocolate chip is my favorite. They use Blue Bell ice cream, everyone is always very friendly, and service is quick. Stop on by!!
The food was great! The fried chicken was cooked fresh per order. I drove for 45 minutes just to eat there. I hadn't visited since before Covid when they had a buffet. I was disappointed they no longer had it but the food didn't disappoint. They're a little heavy on the salt as a seasoning but otherwise the food was very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. Lower than the prices of chain restaurants and the food is much better. I look forward to going back.
Soul. Food. As in, it's southern cooking that's so good it hits you right in the soul. The fried catfish was spectacular. Crispy breading, tender and moist fish, great flavor. The coleslaw is AMAZING. You can taste the freshness. The collard greens are to die for. Everyone else in my group of 10 seemed to be of the same opinion about their food as well. Simply amazing food.
I absolutely loved this place! I was passing through from New York and was the first time ever having southern barbecue. They gave me more than I could finish, very generous. The pork was delicious as well as the hush puppies. The staff were super friendly and the gift shop was beautiful. I left full and happy. Will definitely go back.
Great food! Service a little slow, (staffing issues waitress said). Order wasn't right for a couple of us. But great chicken sandwich (after the onions and tomatoes were scraped off..that were requested not to be there)! Rib tips were good. I would have liked to have tried the hush puppies (ordered, not received). Even so, nice place. --------- Update 7/20/24 They just hired some additional staff. Service MUCH better. Food was great, and exactly to order.
The food was very good, the service was great and the atmosphere was quiet and very enjoyable.
Great food! Fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Hush puppies, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, potato salad - all yum. Burnt ends sandwich top notch. Best bbq sauce around. Will absolutely stop again next time through!
